Grandparents have a unique role in the lives of our children. They don’t just connect us to the values, stories and histories of our families, but also to the values, stories and histories of our communities. Today we celebrated Grandparents’ Day at school with stories, music, interviews, crafts, projects and fun.
Our sincere thanks to all the grandparents who joined us in the church and in our classrooms today. Our thanks too to Fr Kennedy for leading us in prayer, to Mr Lynch for preparing the choir and to the parents who catered for our visitors and offered refreshments. We remembered too all the grandparents who couldn’t join us today.
