The children in 5th Class are investigating electricity at the moment and have made simple circuits and switched circuits. Have a look at our budding scientists in action.  

Designing Pulleys

Sixth Class are currently looking at and exploring the uses of ‘Pulleys’ in everyday life. As a first experiment, they had to design a ‘Simple Pulley’ using objects/materials in the room. They quickly discovered that using gravity, by pulling down, helped pull the object upwards!

Making Books with our NEW iPads!!

On Friday sixth class worked in groups of three to produce entertaining digital books using our new iPads. They used the app ‘Book Creator’ to add text, images, drawings and sound. Great fun was had by all. We look forward to using the iPads over the next few weeks!

Eco Safari

In September. we planted Spring bulbs on our school grounds – daffodils, tulips, anemone, irises, hyacinths, snowdrops & crocii. On Thursday last, we planted vegetables in recyled tyres that Peter had painted – peas, beans, beetroot, potatoes, chives & carrots. Eason Spelling Bee

Well done to Mairéad Roche (5th Class), our school spelling champion, who represented the school at the Co. Wicklow Final of the 2018 Eason Spelling Bee in Avoca on Tuesday, 17 April. Mairéad came in joint second place!
