The school has a long and proud history of involvement with the Green Schools’ Programme. Over the last 18 years, it has been awarded Green Flags for Litter & Waste; Energy; Water; Travel; Green Home; Biodiversity; Global Citizenship Litter & Waste; and Global Citizenship Energy. The children have spent the last two years working on the theme of Global Citizenship Marine Environment.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, socially distanced committee meetings took place in the Great Outdoors this year and the school underwent a virtual assessment via Zoom on 24th March to establish if it would win its 9th Green Flag. Our sincere thanks to Ms. Seoighe and Rang a Do for representing us all during the virtual assessment. The children were amazing, answered all questions thoroughly and described the actions that it and other classes had taken in relation to Global Citizenship Marine Environment. Below you may see some images of our children’s work on this theme.
