2nd Class have taken on the Incredible Edible challenge! We have been researching how food gets from the farm to our fridge. We watched the journey of milk from the farm to our fridge. We later researched the journey our favourite fruit takes from it’s country of origin to our homes. We tried to calculate the food miles it had travelled. We designed our own food superheros and their superpower.
Since then, we have educated ourselves on how to identify Irish food in the shops. We have looked into what food is grown in Ireland.
More recently, we planted our own fruits, vegetables and herbs. Check out some of our green fingers!!
