Congratulations to our 6th Class pupils who were confirmed today by Fr. Cosmos. We were so proud of our pupils who were so engaged with the sacrament , supported by their families . They had prepared their service so well and showed such dignity and maturity during the service. I also want to highlight how happy we were to see those pupils from the class who were not receiving the sacrament come along ;these pupils showed up for their friends, sang in the choir and came to the party after! We all belong in our school!
I hope that all our pupils enjoyed their special day, with their families.
I am very grateful to all our teachers for their role in our pupils faith formation. I would especially like to thank Ms. Dalton for preparing her class so well for their sacrament today. Our choir, led by Ms Seoighe , sang beautifully and played along on their tin whistles. We had a guitar solo from D.C. (5th) and Ms. Hayes accompanied the choir on flute. Thank you to both Ms Seoighe and Ms Hayes.
Our P.A. had created a wonderful event in the hall, which our guests enjoyed after the confirmation. Thank you to the parents and to our P.A. for helping with the preparations for this big event and for the generous food and catering which was greatly appreciated.
We were sorry that Fr Bernard was unable to be part of today’s ceremony and we look forward to seeing him back again soon. Thank you to Aideen Green, as always, for her commitment to our pupils.
We value our traditions in our school and today was a continuation of this tradition of coming together to celebrate our Confirmation Class. We look forward to our next sacrament; the First Communion , on May 9th!
Well done to all of our pupils who have put so much enthusiasm into their learning and who have made our school the buzzing place it is!
