This programme better known as the Gross Motor Exercise Programme (GMEP) began in 2002 and takes place every morning from 8.50am-9.10am in the school hall.
It is structured on the basis of best practice methods to include regular reinforcement of fundamental patterns of movement and inbuilt flexibility, diffferentiated for individual needs.
It is made up of a series of movements which are designed to build up physical strength and stamina and to develop manipulation, balance and travel skills within a context of active student involvement.
Cooperation, acceptance of self and others, owning personal responsibility, discussion on planning and lots of fun are central to its operation.
