We held our Green Schools Assembly this morning ( outdoors ) to raise our 10th Green
Flag. Ms Malone had organised a highly informative assembly, delivered by the Green
Schools Committee. We recapped on our previous flags . We heard about the importance
of the food we eat and how it connects us to nature, food and people all over the planet.
Finally , we resolved to keep recycling, protecting water, reducing traffic pollution and
looking after nature.
There was a strong sense of how our school is steeped in positive traditions; this journey
began in 2003. We will continue to value nature and our environment in our school in future
projects .
Thank you to Ms Malone for her leadership on this important area and to all the teachers
for their work in supporting this message in class. Well done to our pupils , especially the
Green Schools Committee for being so knowledgeable and aware about these issues.
Finally, thank you to our parents who were able to take the time to come along and join us.
We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
