The school took part in the Big Travel Challenge between 1 February 2022 and 14 February 2022 and promoted “Park & Stride” as its chosen mode of sustainable transport in which an increase in participation could be expected. Before the challenge began, 26% of the children indicated that they normally parked and strode to school. Over the course of the challenge and in addition to those who already walk to school, an amazing 43% of the children parked and strode from various locations around the village. The results may be seen below. Well done to everyone who participated in the Big Travel Challenge. Remember over the coming months to continue to “Park and Stride and Walk with Pride.” (Sean Butler, 6th Class 2011)
