WEIGHT This month we are looking at Weight and comparing objects of different weights and sizes. We used tights as weighing scales to investigate the weight of different objects! Then we used Balance Scales to find out which objects were heavier or lighter. Creating a Balance from wooden blocks!
Over the next couple of weeks, we are exploring life in Antarctica, looking at the different animals who live there and learning about the famous Irish explorers Ernest Shackleton and Tom Crean. Building the Scientist Station on Antarctica! Making Emperor Penguins! Creating Antarctica out of rice! Exploring Antarctica through play!

We were delighted to welcome the wonderful Storyteller, Neil de Búrca to our school today. He entertained us with stories from Ireland, Europe and even from the island of Hawaii. We learnt new Irish words, jumped with fright and helped with the sound effects throughout the performance!
