The children in 5th Class have received an Eco Rangers Bronze Award from Bord na Mona for their environmental studies on the school grounds and are officially “guardians of the land!”

When we were on our Easter holidays, Peter noticed a few visitors in our school yard.
In September. we planted Spring bulbs on our school grounds – daffodils, tulips, anemone, irises, hyacinths, snowdrops & crocii. On Thursday last, we planted vegetables in recyled tyres that Peter had painted – peas, beans, beetroot, potatoes, chives & carrots. The children in 5th Class have started the Incredible Edibles project. Incredible Edibles is a healthy eating initiative for Primary School pupils. It encourages schools across the country to get busy growing carrots, lettuce, potatoes, strawberries, turnips and herbs. Here the children are planting their vegetables.
